I've recently upgraded the second PC to Win 10 so now have a true dual PC config.-both Win 10 pro desktops over LAN using Kazoo as control point from iPhone. So, I've been working on this Minimserver/Jriver DLNA comparison. Thanks for any advice that can be offered.Īs an aside, while trying out MinimServer, I listened to an album by Richard Hawley entitled 'Coles Corner'. If MinimServer would offer improvoved sound quality, I guess I will have to bite the bullet and start working my way through. If there is no audible difference between the two when used as a server, I will save myself the trouble of having to re-tag all those albums. I should be grateful if anyone who has tried both could offer an insight. Will using MinimServer as a server produce a better sound than JRMC as a server. I believe this is attributable to an older version of JRMC that I used when dinosaurs roamed the earth. The only issue that I have with MinimServer is that it generates a stack of tagging errors. Given the previous experience of JPLAY authors/users with JRiver, this is not surprising. I am aware that Josef and Marcin's preference is for MinimServer. I am currently looking into whether or not I should use JRMC 20.00.41 (Last version to work with JPLAY) or MinimServer alongside JPLAYStreamer in my dual PC setup.
